John Legend…Once again

A follow up on the critically acclaimed and Grammy (Best album/RnB), John Legend showcases this sophomore album. This CD is pack with 13 mellow and comfy tracks.

The carrier single “Save Room” is brilliant and endearing with its classic old school vibe and up beat Motown character. Second single “Heaven” is structured with his pained, husky and deep echoing voice infused into this romantic piece blended with soulful synthesizer work. While “Stereo” makes you dance even when you’re seating on your computer chair because of its playful bass lines and percussions. My favorite would be “Each Day Gets Better” because of its vivid and subtle up beat rhythm yet simple lyrics.

Overall John Legend’s second offering is a classic in the making with its distinct sound and that Modern Smoky Robinson feel. This album certainly would be a staple in my CD player for a long time though I’m not much into RnB and it’s a listening pleasure especially on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
