After a few months of blogging hiatus, it seems that Christmas day is just around the corner or I might say that it’s just to nights away from the D-day. And people everywhere seem always in a frantic mood which I can’t help to ponder about. Just like yesterday when I have some errands ,I went to the grocery to buy a single pack of rice flour it took me an hour and a half to reach the check-in counter. Rich and poor frolic the shopping malls in this time of the year maybe because of the revelries, gatherings, the parties left and right, the buying of the Christmas presents and preparation for the yuletide feast.
To dig deep into this matter I begin to think that here in this pop cultured/digital world era is the true and deeper meaning of Christmas still exists or we are just blown-away by all the commercialism brought about by this modern day culture???....Is Christmas being contained as just gifts ,tradition,festivities,santa,snowman,or something really significant? I have nothing against the revelries and parties actually if anybody wants to invite me..hehehe count me in because I love food and gifts as well . To go back to the topic I think Christmas is not just about this grand and festive tradition but rather on this very season we should acknowledge and appreciate the grandest and greatest gift a man get ever received which is Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Savior whom was sent by our Heavenly Father to die for the salvation of mankind. If we really seek the essence of Christmas I think and would even suggest seeking Christ our Lord. Isn’t it great that God love us so much though we have offended and displeased Him countless of times He is willing to give us multiple chances to pick ourselves up and fix our lives. So for me it’s not just Christmas, it’s CHRIST-MUST. Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas to everybody!!
