ULTIMATE GIFT

As the Christendom observed the Lenten Season to commemorate the death and resurrection of our savior Jesus Christ. Some mourn, some celebrates, and some even hurt and nailing themselves on the cross because they believed that their sins would be forgiven especially in my country the Philippines where people were raised from a very religious foundation.

My only point here is why do we wait for this season to come to repent and remember the life of Jesus and what He had done for our salvation not only in this time of Lent but everyday. And just remember the passion of our Savior for the sake of remembering it or because everyone else around us is observing it but knowing the value and magnitude of the greatest gift the Lord had given us even though nobody deserves it. The gift of healing, real freedom and forgiveness of sin had been paid and nailed on the cross for all of humanity. God did not even require us to punish or hurt ourselves to pay for our shortcomings because He gave His only Son Jesus Christ as substitute and even as payment for our debt. When His blood was shed and body broken and at the end proclaimed it is finished then mankind was saved because His grace and mercy are more than enough.

Why do I write this??? To be religious? No, because I’m not a religious person and I don’t like traditions either however I can say that all I have now is relationship and much stronger faith to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. And I wrote this just a reminder that sometimes our lifestyles don’t reflect us being Christians especially after Easter Sunday.
