After 21 years...goin back to the walled Manila

Last April 12th ,I visited one of the most historical part of Manila;Intramuros.
My first stopped was at Fort Santiago, this structure was built by the Spaniards as a main defense fortress during its colonial era.It is also where the Philippine native hero Jose Rizal was detained before his execution in 1896.This site was also captured by the Japanese during the World War 2 and it also houses prison dungeons by both Spanish and Japanese conquerors.Today the fort serves as a museum and home of the Philippine-Spanish legacy.

Second stop was at the Manila Cathedral which is known as the seat of the Archbishop of Manila during the Spanish regime. Then off to Casa Manila,an old century house that noe serves as a restaurant as well as a museum of an old posh Spanish family.

My walled Manila journey ended with San Agustin Church , a Roman Catholic Church built by the Augustinians and the oldest standing church in the archipelago. Also considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site under the classification "Baroque Churches of the Philippines".This landmark serves as both a church and a museum it showcases a myriad of religious and historical artifacts.
